Prayer from the Book of Colossians

This prayer was crafted out of the Book of Colossians for personal use, but feel free to use it:

Lord, I ask that you give me & my family spiritual wisdom and understanding so that the way we live will always honor and please You, Lord, and our lives will produce every kind of good fruit, as we learn to know You better and better.
I pray that we will be strengthened in all Your glorious power so we will have all the endurance and patience we need.
May we be filled with joy, always thanking You, Father. For You have enabled us to share in the inheritance that belongs to Your people, who live in the light. For You have rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of Your Son Jesus who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

Thank You, Lord Jesus that You have reconciled us to Yourself through Your death in Your physical body and now brought us into Your presence, making us holy and blameless as we stand before You without any fault.

I pray that we will continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it as this is the assurance we received when we heard the Good News. Since Lord Jesus, You live in us, it gives us the assurance of sharing Your glory.

I pray that we will continue to follow You Lord and may our roots grow down into You and our lives be built on You, then our faith will grow strong in the truth that we were taught and we will overflow with thankfulness.

Thank You Lord that we are complete through our union with You, who is head over every ruler and authority.
Thank You Lord that You performed a spiritual circumcision, when we came into Christ, cutting away our sinful nature.
Thank You Lord that You forgave all our sins and cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away nailing it to the cross.
Thank You Lord that we have died with You and You have set us free from the spiritual powers of this world.
I pray that You will make us strong, perfect and always following the will of God.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
